Somalia, Somaliland talks postponed

Talks between Somali Federal government and Somalia’s self declared state of Somaliland have been postponed until next month, prompting one more political crumble. A planned meeting which was supposed to resume in Turkey has been delayed on Thursday, officials said.
The motive behind its postponement remains unclear following months of Turkish provoked meetings in Istanbul. Somaliland officials said that talks were set to resume in March.
Somalia’s president Hassan Shikeh Mohamud and Somaliland president Ahmed Silanyo reached comprehensive concord in Turkey last year. Both presidents have accepted to resume their talks to find a remedy for the prevailing political confusion.
Somaliland has enjoyed relative peace compared to Somalia, which has remained in the grip of violence since 1991.

Somalia: Somali-American terror suspect confess plan to join ISIS

America’s FBI department seized a Somali American teenager, who was planning to flee from Minnesota to fight along the Syria based terror group of ISIS. Abdullah Mohamed Yusuf, 18 confessed to have been preparing away out from USA.
In a statement released by the FBI department said that many US citizens with African background nationals have joined ISIS since 2014. The department said that Mr. Yusuf was planning to go Syria to fight for group.
“He attended several Jihadi meetings held in Minneapolis between March and April last year “the bureau said. The court judges postponed its verdict to unknown occasion on Friday.
Acting on a tip off from the public, FBI security personals intercepted Yusuf’s travel to Syria on May last year. US security authorities asked Somali communities in twin cities to work with the police in order to lessen Somalis joining ISIS.
