Mogadishu (sh.M.Network) general Mohamed Nur Galaal who is a former military commander who served the Siad Bare regime yesterday said that it was not an easy task to defeat Alshabab militia.
At a media briefing, former general addressed the issue of rising insecurity in Mogadishu and the removal of arms embargo in the country.
He said that Alshabab was responsible for these terror activities in the region. The eradication of Alshabab needs all security agencies in the capital to share information and work together as a unit.
He said that if this happened, the security in capital will improve.
On the other side, while he was talking about the removal of arms embargo in the country, he said that this will not bring any major changes because the arms which are allowed in the country is similar to those the government is possessing currently.
Finally, Mr. Galaal said good relationship between members of the public and security officials was a basic requirement for a safe city and called both sides to unite and work together.
