Curfew imposed in Jowhar town

Jowhar-(Sh.M.Network)-security operations are underway in Jowhar town, conducted by federal government troops.
Residents of the town told Shabelle media station that thorough security operations started yesterday evening and are still underway.
It is reported that many people suspected to be members of Alshabab have been arrested during the operations and are now being interrogated by the police.
Deputy Governor of the lower Shabelle region Yusuf Abdi Abdulle told Shabelle radio that they have arrested several members of Alshabab militia during the operation.
The administration has not yet announced when the state of emergency will be removed.
